I had to also amend my state and federal tax return. For the original and the amended tax returns, Turgo Tax Delux - Desktop did a great job.

TurboTax is good but not easy.

Turbo Tax does make doing taxes so much easier than without it. It had a problem when I downloaded my investment 1099's. It put 2 1099 forms one with no data and one with the correct data from Charles Schwab. I had to figure out why Turbo Tax stopped with a problem caused by the empty 1099-DIV and 1099-INT. I figured out where to go to see what was not correct and found the form 1099-DIV and 1099-INT with no data and deleted it. The product should direct you back to where the problem is but it did not. I found some mistakes in what I had typed in when reviewing after completing all data entry. It is not as easy as it should be to go back to get the errors corrected for taxes paid on a 1099-R and SSA 1099.

Entering bank interest income was very confusing.
You wanted bank account numbers that banks list XXXX and numbers. The format does NOT match.
Also, the bank ID numbers are NOT listed on the 1099.
