Be careful

All is good for the Federal return. There is a problem with the State return for Illinois (and probably other states). Technically the return is fine but it lacks a connection to the State Instructions. As it is, there is a glitch that is only resolved but going to those instructions. Only by digging into those instructions will you discover that if the AGI is over 500K on the fed return then various exemptions are voided. The return blocks these but with no explanation.

Turbotax has serious issues, and seems buggy.

Turbotax this year, compared with the ease of last year, was aweful.
First, buying online version, it wouldn't load, taking ages with technical help to get it to load and run.
After entering and carefully checking entered data, the results shown were ludicrous. A second attempt, after fresh entry of data, gave expected results.
Filing was problematic. First it went in to a nightmare loop, requiring/not requiring personal information on worksheet.
After a night's sleep to cool off, a second attempt today using last night's data, was, after a software update,
successful. I've lost my previous confidence in Turbotax program.
