Used the software since it was provided by Parsons. It works very well for me and has helped me find several entries that have saved me from audits and given me a bigger return that I would have missed without it.

Technical issues and hidden fees

Hate the desktop version. Could not get states to launch, had to uninstall, reinstall and various other troubleshooting steps - an extra hour wasted. Then was charged $25 per state to e-file on top of the $45 per state to prepare. Rip-off, as the same add-on fee doesn't exist in the online version which I had used in prior years. Will not be using this again.

UNABLE TO E-FILE

Have used Turbo Tax for 20+ years, this is the first year (living in Washington State) that I was NOT allowed to e-file due to a Washington State credit I do not qualify for. There is no way to skip this and I am being FORCED to mail my taxes, but Turbo Tax then asks me why I am not e-filing
