Took 5 times longer than it should have

In general, I love TurboTax but today was not a great experience. There is clearly a bug, an incompatibility with Win11, or sections skipped when not first going through the product registration process. Everything seemed to be smooth with some question as to how the state tax number could be $0 just before filing, and then it was discovered that the state form could not be filed or even printed because it was missing sections. After a full system reboot, a real dollar number appeared for state but there were still errors. After reboot #2, it presented additional questions that were not originally on the list for state taxes and even after stepping through each one, it was showing errors in the state return. Luckily, someone back in 2021 had this same problem and Turbo Tax posted an answer. With 95% of all questions being "no" or $0.00, it somehow added form 3554 (Corporate Income Tax) and would not finish due to missing sections. The solution talked about how to go delete form 3554 and proceed, which did work but with nothing to write off and only a W2 entered, paying taxes should not take 3.5 hours and multiple PC reboots.

Turbo Tax is a necessary scam

Turbo tax is effective and does a good job at simplifying the complexities of taxes. However, their website overcharges if people aren't buying the windows product keys from other parties and the windows product keys a misleading and false advertising. The product keys state that state filing is included but it is not and is an additional fee. It is already ridiculous practices that the average middle- and lower-class citizens have to do in order to file their taxes, and Turbo Tax contributes to that. Making it a necessary scam.

Great except e-file doesn't work

Turbo tax is great. It makes prepping your taxes easy. However, paying them is difficult. Turbo tax has had a bug for many years that makes e-filing difficult. You have to 'trick' the firmware by giving an address of 123 Main St or your payment won't go through. Even with this hack, you still need to try it multiple times.
