Very good, but not great.

I don't know how anyone could do their taxes without software if they have stocks, rentals, etc. For the most part (not all), Turbo Tax takes care of all that. One other little annoyance: when saving a copy of one's return, after the first save, the "save as" option is not available.

Turbo Tax needs to fix simple issues

I'll give you five stars when you fix the multistate taxes being paid to other states. Always having to override the home state form with the amounts and yes I always start with the out of state form first. This has been an issue for years. Also your import of W-2s is horrible. Had more mistakes then hand entering due to mis-reading the W-2 forms. Also total wages for each state on your W-2 summary is doubling the state amount of wages earned because of mis-reading the state wages on the W-2.

Turbo Tax is going down hill

The product seems a bit clunkier this year: never a good sign. Document imports either didn't work or just weren't worth the trouble. Having to constantly scroll to the bottom after each part is completed is inelegant, not to mention clumsy. Also, the app would never remember where I left off unless I launched from the return file itself. Launching from the desktop icon always used to remember where that file was, open it, then resume at last stop.

Really appreciate saved data from year to year

Generally like it as it pulls up last year data-wish it was easier to look at specifics like how much we gave to specific charities the year before. Don't like having to answer the same questions again when I start over to check my entries. I also like that it knows which credits and deductions we qualify for. It would be helpful if it listed credits not asked about-on the state form we got a senior credit deduction and it took me awhile to find the supporting form to know what it referred to. I like that I can compare different entries to last year-wish there were more items rather than just edit button.

Time for a refresh

Over many years of use I have come to trust Turbo Tax to guide me effectively through the filing process. My adult children consider it "old school," insisting online systems such as Tax Act are just as good, and free. I've noticed nothing in the Turbo Tax interface, from font, to illustrations, to the "on-hold" music when you call for support (for a problem they could not fix), has been upgraded or refreshed in years.
