Turbo Tax charges

Turbo tax charged me $40 extra for each of two additional states for filing. Then Turbo tax charged me $20.00 each for e filing the three states I was required to file. I spent $140.00 in addition to the purchase price for filing one federal and three state forms.

Not happy with the 2024 ver Deluxe with state

The 2024 Turbotax was very poor at handling the free state tax. I went from the federal to state as expected but did not transfer the tax with held from the W2. I has to manually find where I could force it in. Also turbo tax needs to have a way to separate federal from state in regard to electronic send and printing for mail in. The way you have it, its very convoluted. Not impressed with how turbo tax is trying to simplify things if thats what you are doing. I will be checking out opinions of other software in the future.

Also love the ability to post questions to the community and get a responses from Experts - that's a really nice feature. adequate for simple tax scenario

I filed my federal taxes and they were accepted. I went back two weeks later to file states taxes by mail. I decided to electronically file because mail has been delayed. However I got an error saying date federal taxes will be paid cannot be before filing date. I had to delete date that I entered when filing federal taxes and then the penalty increased. Turbo Tax should have more options such as IGNORE or File Anyway.

Turbotax is getting harder to use

The software is getting poorer and more difficult to use. There is little help built into the software. Turbotax seems to be trying to get you to sign up for tax help rather than provide some basic help in the software. Unsure the software is accurate. Looking at the forms, it did not give me the option to enter a value which I know should be there based on the question asked.
To fill out one section, I had to hit back and edit to get the numbers to be entered.
