Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Software was crashing constantly. At the end of this torment I figured out that I cannot efile if my wife do not have SSN. This was frustrating road through disappointment. If I would know earlier I would pay 150$ for someone to make my taxes instead of using this torture machine. Took my 5 days to finish my filling because I could not stand more than 10 minutes in this frustrating rollercoaster of crashes. So many years of "experience", yet so dissapointing... Never again.

Every year, Turbotax "improves" something in such a way that the air quotes are necessary. This time it's the way one inputs 1099 info. The new design is a total failure. It's too easy to open the wrong form or create a new one accidentally – and God forbid you should do that, because clicking on the trash can icon to delete it gets you nothing but a grey screen. Turns out that if you scroll UP (who came up with THAT idea?) you'll eventually get an "Are you sure?" message. Meanwhile, claiming a foreign tax credit if you have investments in multiple countries takes MUCH longer than it should because the pulldown menus for each country don't work well and the instructions are awful - seemingly anticipating ONE country and ONE brokerage, without explaining what to do otherwise.

TurboTax missed something

I sent my Federal taxes in with TurboTax Deluxe saying there were no errors. The Feds rejected it saying we were missing form 1095-A for the California Health Insurance Marketplace. Then the form had to be manually added, when I named it 1095-A, it filled the Marketplace-assigned policy number field with "1095-A". I didn't think about the field at first. Luckily, I didn't notice it and couldn't fill in the whole number in the field. It would be nice if the program let me know that the last 15 numbers should be used.

A lot better than H & R Block! Turbo Tax app needs to add an option to zoom in or increase view. the font is very small.
