Fixes needed in Turbo Tax.

Made me file Form 8453 rather than allow me to put that information into my filing.
This was very annoying.

In addition, I could not use the credit card that I preferred to pay for the state filing as the pull down menu would not allow a January expiration date. The first number in the pull down is a 2. This is really stupid.

Turbo Tax likes and dislikes

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have liked it very much. It was great when I had the business but since retiring I don't need the business program and use the Deluxe-Desktop.
There is one area I wish would change. When I complete a section and have to leave Turbo tax and come back to it or my taxes are done and I do a personal review before filing, answers I had put in or checked boxes go away and I have to re-enter the information. This has always been a gripe of mine. If I wanted to change things I would do it and it's extremely frustrating to have re-enter information I have already entered. This happens EVERY time I have to close it out and come back to the program. I save it every time so that is not the problem. That's why it gets only a 4 star rating.

I have always had good experiences with turbo tax until this year. I have had all sorts of problems each time I have used this version. Not sure I will use it next year

Overall pretty good.

Overall pretty good, but software had several hiccups. Kept saying review needed on one section ,even after i went thru it twice. at the end it kept erasing the routing number on my second EFT entry where i split my refund into two accounts.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

Form 8939 didn't populate correctly until Feb 25

I have used TurboTax for many years and this year was he first year their errors caught me. The 8938 form for foreign financial assets did not populate for the first financial institution and was sent to the government blank even though the data was in the program. I updated TurboTax on Feb 26 and found the error was corrected and have to send in an amended return.
