I think Turbo Tax is teetering on the brink.

I think you might be getting too big for you britches. I've been using the program since 1995. You have not made acquiring or starting the program better. Much worse. The creation of and "account" I believe is a slimy business tactic to mine my data. When I learned there was no more disc I almost gave up. Two days of searching and there was no information CLEARLY available explaining how I would get the program installed on my machine. After all, I AM doing my taxes; I desire to own a license for the installation. The program has some issues with Win 10 . Often the program would not run after updates. It would just die.
And (apparently) with Adobe Acrobat Reader. The program ran noticeably better when Acrobat Reader was OFF. The reader is necessary now because some institutions are sending W2 and 1099- in the format. For all the trouble of dealing the account and finding the file sets for installation you have priced yourself out of a market with the high price of $74 USD.

In general, I love TurboTax. However, this year there was a glitch. I wasn't able to separately input the 2, 1099-Rs that I received from one financial services company. Both of these 1099-Rs documented withdrawals of tax-deductible contributions (code "7" in box 7). I had to combine them in order for TT to not tell me that I hadn't taken my RMD. I hope that this glitch gets fixed.

FOR SOME REASON THE PROGRAM SKIPPED MY 1098 FORMS. I FOUND HOW TO ENTER THEM LATER ON. THE REST WAS VERY EASY.
