TurboTax

I have been using TurboTax for years and have been pleased until this year. I cannot get the printed copy of my return to print without the words DO NOT FILE across the ES Payment Voucher forms. My return has been filed electronically and accepted by the IRS but TurboTax will not remove the words across the vouchers.

Frustrated with State filing delays.

We have attempted to file for 3 weeks not. The same problem has been plaguing the program. The program is not accepting the CT-1040 form seemingly because it does not recognize the form can be used for the tax year instead of some other tax period. This isn't a problem with the state form it is a problem with programming that doesn't recognize tax years.

Turbo Tax 2024 was okay

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. The format this year over previous years was changed. Especially for the entry of Interest, dividends, etc., which was in the same window. I had to keep going back and forth while going through my 1099s which was annoying and in the process mistakes were made which were found and of course were corrected. So in a few words I did not care for the new format. As a result I can only say Turbo Tax for 2024 was just okay.

Turbo Tax is fairly easy for non-tax professionals

If retired and using the SA-1099 it is difficult to find. It is great that one can download most of the tax documents from most financial institutions. There are some that require manual entry.
