TurboTax file backup procedure is very poor.

TurboTax insists on saving (in progress) copies of my return to some unusual places on my hard drive.
Lost all of my work late in the preparation of the return and had to start over from scratch.
This has also happened in previous years.

error in system

You have a glitch in your system - I am very experienced. I tried 6 time to go back to 1099 - INT to edit and it circles back to 1099 - R every time so I could not enter my interest of $40.05!!! I gave up.

Using a CD to load Turbo Tax was MUCH EASIER

In previous years loading Turbo Tax using a CD was so fast and easy. In 2024, the CD was not available and loading Turbo Tax onto my computer was awful, kept getting error messages and I swore I would never use Turbo Tax again. However, a few days later I could access Turbo Tax as I had in previous years. The initial loading was really a pain. I would be much happier using the CD.
