Updates get Hung Up

The product (TurboTax Deluxe) was good and easy to use. However, there were software glitches.
I downloaded the product(s) and installed updates as directed. I completed my Fed and State (CA) in relatively short time as it's a very simple return, but I did not submit it at that time. I attempted to review it two days later before submitting the returns. When I logged into the product I was forced to check for updates again. The Fed got hung up and after 15 minutes, I cancelled it and tried again. The same thing happened again, and again I cancelled it. The cancel attempt seemed to have gotten hung up both times although the second attempt apparently worked, as I was able to continue and complete my review of the Fed return. The same thing happened with the CA return. I was forced to look for, and install, updates. I got hung up no less than 5 times. The first 2 times I got a message that this would take 4 minutes, but after 15-20 minutes I tried to cancel. Interestingly, on the next 3 times I tried to do the update the message indicated it would take 5 minutes. After 15-20 minutes, again I cancelled, but the cancel also got hung up. Task Manager was also unsuccessful, so I had to power off, wait, and power back on. In a few cases, I waited 40 minutes just waiting before taking any further action. After more than 3 hours, I quit. The following morning, I ran into the same problem -- update hangup, program cancel hangup, Task Manager hangup, power off, wait, power on and try again! This happened at least twice before I was able to finally get to my state review (although I never got any indication of a successful update). Once into the review, I was able to complete and submit both returns.

I don't know what exactly you did but I really disliked this year's program. It was hard to find areas that I had easily found before. And stop taking us back to the first page after we finish a section.

Discounted state efile cost was false!

Bait and switch on the $20 efile discount? TT promised a $20 state efile cost instead of $25. I was charged $25. That's terrible customer relations. You owe me $5. I'm sure I won't see it.
