Always More Fees

Hidden fees on hidden fees. $40 for a direct deposit? $15 for "processing"? I already paid $65 for the service and now you want more. Then, the desktop app I just installed can't even process an e-file without an update. Pathetic. For how much you charge, you'd think it would be halfway decent.

So many bugs in this

Program is buggy and asks the same questions over and over. Information on deductibility of state refunds was incorrect. Program was unable to allow me to file for child care expenses for my disabled child. Navigation is poor and heavily dependent on mouse clicking rather than keyboard shortcuts. Yes it's great to be able to file taxes electronically, but given the amount of time this product has been on the market one would hope it would be better than this.

Turbotax Fails to Achieve their Quality Standards

This year's Turbo Tax product is the worst one I have ever used! I paid my fees for the State Tax to be done by Turbo Tax and yet I don't see any copy of it in the print-out so I don't know what was sent, if it was even sent to my state. I also hate the download version and wish I could get the CD version like I was used to doing all these years I have been a good customer of Turbotax ever since it came out! The form also kept losing my place whenever I clicked on an explanation item. It also lost information I already provided and I had to repeat.

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years, and I always use the step-by-step instructions to ensure I don't miss anything. The process was easy to follow; and for the few times I needed more information, the help boxes that popped up from the links answered my questions.
