File Like a Tax Expert Every Time

It is such a great and simple way to complete and file your taxes. I have been using TurboTax since at least 1990 and it continues to evolve and improve. I did not need to speak to an Intuit Tax Specialist this year, but in the past I have always found them to be super helpful.

Over-charing for product and filing

Your product has become much more difficult to use and enormously more expensive. Moreover, the charges on it are false advertising. The filing fees, which are clearly outlined right on the program as you move through it are less than what is charges upon filing. You say it costs $20.00 to e-file the state return but you charge $25.00. I would like to have a refund of that $5.00.

Using Turbo Tax is easy. However, the Help Center did not provide any guidance regarding non-cash donation contribution carryovers.

I have been using Turbo Tax for the past 6 years. Each year they make it better and easier to do your taxes. But you need to be organized first and have a papers together.

Overall, a good application. Considering many OPM civilian and military people are being fired, I believe additional instructions when answering questions regarding salary/retirement would be very beneficial for 2025. My frustration was understanding how to answer questions on CSRS/FERS CSA 1099Rs. It took some time to educate myself on how to answer block 1a vs. 2a differences and how it impacts my tax status.
