Turbo tax is not as good as it used to be.

No Longer user friendly. I could not get to the place to select that I wanted Audit Defense. On the 1099 NEC all I wanted to do is file and pay the taxes. It is not a business with business expenses. It is simply work that I do periodically (gun show 4 times a year) and election day 4 year and mid-term election.

Always, straightforward, easy to use, and easy to make corrections. The 3 biggest thing that I value is the Audit Risk because it makes me feel that I've entered the correct information and no mistakes are done, the simplicity and additional options for Income and Deductions, and 3rd the Smart Check option at the end that helps with the mistakes doen.

I'm having difficulty printing a pdf version of my taxes. There was an erroneous question on Schedule II Wisconsin section. Otherwise I appreciate the program's ease of use.

Room for Improvement

For a few times what I entered would not stay even after the file was saved. So, I had to go back with a thorough check to locate relevant entries and make the same changes. In those cases, the software seemed to want to outsmart me with its choices for me, and I had to secure my own choices with extra efforts. Besides, I've got a suggestion for your consideration: For people like me, who are sure about using standard deduction, there should be a clear early choice to go around the section of Deductions.

Could Use Some UX Improvements

I have been a TT user for over 25 years. This is the first year I hav used the MAC version. I am not sure off that is the reason, but I find the new user interface less customer friendly. Many of the questions and prompts do not seem to have the same level of detail\explanation as I have known int he past. There was also a lot of fields that required the same information to be typed in again instead of pulling from the previous entries.
