Will Not Buy Again

Deceptive pricing. Advertised as $70 for 5 Federal and 1 State. But Surprise!!! Each State eFile is another $25 and there's a $40 surcharge to apply your Fed refund to the charge.
Clunky. It kept insisting I had a foreign address (which I do not). It was not easy to correct.
Paper waster. No easy way to select just the required forms for printing. (e.g. It insisted on printing 1040-ES's (and other forms) that I do not need or use). Use some 40 pages.

turbo tax is very good but some execution problems

product was a bit more difficult this year due to TT not automatically updating when i resumed work on the second day. I got a msg that I needed to update before it would transmit my return and another that said it was on a read only volume. never got these msgs in previous years. took a long time to figure out what was wrong and finally get it done. I use a Mac desktop.

I've been a Turbotax user for several years and have always had my confidence rewarded with no issues. It's an amazingly good software for uncomplicated filings. Last year I had to file an amended return which I did through the software and it was equally as straightforward. Received my refund without issue. Keep up the good work and maintain your fair pricing.

New version confusing.

have used Turbo tax for Many years. This years version put me in loops several times. ????? No explanation regarding symbols ( icons) for INT and DIV entries. Did not understand reasoning for having to cycle through this page with every entry. Very confusing. Need bigger indicator of need to download state return. This was new and again confusing. TT signaled and save and restart???

Turbo Tax was very user friendly. I don't not a lot about taxes but I was tired of paying hundreds of dollars to file to not receive a refund. I decided to do it myself. I save $380.00
