We use Turbo Tax every year. It is really helpful. because it walks you through the process if you wish or if you are tax saavy, you can skip the steps.

Avoid Turbo Tax

I've used turbo tax for more than 10 years. In the past it's been pretty easy and straight forward. This year it was terrible. I inported my tax document from Fidelity and reviewing the information there was no account number or any way i could identify which account i was looking at. When i went to file my return, it said i was missing information. I could not tell what information was being asked for and the 1099-R did not have what was being asked for. Turbo tax this year is crap.

Tricked

Prep was easy - answered all questions as needed, but did not like the attempt to charge me another $20 to e-file my PA State Return - bought Deluxe version which said it included one state return for free - didn't state that didn't include e-file - and all you did was transfer all of the Fed info that I had already provided. Don't like being "tricked'

Turbo Tax is Terrific!

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years and have never been disappointed (or audited)! It's easy to use, thorough in its instructions and additional information, when accessed.

ID PIN not explained

I have an ID PIN for security and you do not show how to use it so my return was rejected for the lack of the ID PIN

I had no problems understand the software, but it requires newer computer to used it. Older seniors can't afford it. Please keep this in mind
