TT is OK.

As I was preparing to e-file I had to update TT. The update corrupted two 1099-R's so that they no longer showed as RMD distributions. This changed my tax from a $416 refund to a $1300 tax owed! I had to go back and find the error and correct the forms so that the tax penalty for not drawing RMD's on time was removed.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and generally find it easy to use. The only thing I would say is that it would be better if somehow you could determine that the standard deduction was best before having to enter all the detailed information for itemized deductions before find out that all that time and effort is wasted since a standard deduction is best for you.

TurboTax software was better last year

I preferred the way TurboTax handled Interest and Dividends last year. This year, the process involved a lot of unnecessary repetition for making entries.
