Much Improved But Doesn't Mean It Can't Be Better

Turbo Tax was much improved this year and more informative, though it could still be improved. Some of the explanations for what deductions can be confusing to the layperson. My taxes aren't that complicated, but they are unique enough that I had to turn to external resources for clarification.

Poor E-filing software

This year all went well and we filed electronically for both Federal and State several weeks ago. I got the email that said my federal return was accepted. Kept watching my bank account for the refund to be posted, but it never showed. I went back into TurboTax and found that neither return had been filed. I just refiled and got an acceptance AGAIN from Federal. I am unable to file Pa State because your software does not set up for it. I am therefore refiling via mail. GET IT RIGHT OR STOP SELLING TURBOTAX. If I had not been checking, I would surely have ended late with penalties and interest.
