I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years or more and have found it to be user friendly. While I have some complex tax reporting items, most questions I had were easily answered by their drop-down information boxes. Easy to use and difficult to make any error. Highly recommend.

Deceptive labeling

Turbotax stated “Includes a one-time $10 credit for one optional, paid, in-product add-on: Live Tax Advice, state e-file fees, state product, product upgrade or Audit Defense.” I interpreted that to mean that I could use the $10 credit to buy the state product, but I discovered that Turbotax wanted to charge me an extra $40 for the state product! I think that Quicken is greedy and deceptive.

Very frustrating experience if you live in WA

It was a very frustrating experience this year if you live in WA State.
TurboTax kept pushing for WA State Tax return filing.
It was apparently due to the "Washington state Working Families Tax Credit Application" to which I was not even eligible to start with (earnings over the maximum qualifying income).
Nevertheless, TurboTax software insisted at every single step for me to file state return for WA State...
I just wanted to file for Federal tax returns and TurboTax made it very difficult this year.
TurboTax kept pushing for WA State Tax return filing.

The only thing that was frustrating was downloading/installing the program without a disk. It took many tries to be able to finally find it online and get started.

TurboTax Delux is terriffic software

I've been using TurboTax software to complete my Federal personal income tax returns since the year 2006. (I'm not required to file a Florida state income tax return.) The software has worked well for me over the years so I continue to use TurboTax each year. The instructions are fairly straight forward in reasonably easy to understand English so I have no problem following them.
