TURBO TAX IS A GOOD DEAL.

EASY TO USE FOR COMPUTER WISE INDIVIDUALS NOT QUITE AS EASY FOR US OLD DOGS BUT STILL BEATS DOING IT ON PAPER. NICE TO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE IT THROUGH THE WHOLE FILING PROCESS ON ONE FORMAT.

We have used TurboTax for 20 years and have always been satisfied with the it. We even got through an estate filing with just the "Deluxe" version.

Turbo Tax is user friendly

I really like the way Turbo tax works with its sister apps, Quicken and Quickbooks. I have used this product for several years now and am still comfortable with their process of checking my work as I go.

all fine until I had to do 1099's . I started with a brokerage.that on the pull down. But if I had an account that wasn't on list or I had another account with samebanker or brokerage it was a pain in having to manually enter. I founf the only way I could get everything inputed properly was to switch to forms. This was a bit of a hassle. Esp with account shtat reporte a lot of insignificant data. Fortunately the formatt allowed me to copy and paste to avoid typos etc.
But this never worked like ths in the past. Please get that cleaned up. Turbotax is otherwise such a finr=e product.

Very buggy

Charitable donations did not display until exiting and reentering that section. Michigan Homestead Tax Credit denied our state residency until we closed and restarted TurboTax. Medical expenses were skipped; we had to manually select that section. And several others.

Big problems

I had to update Turbo Tax before IRS would accept file. The update really screwed up my return requiring me to redo much of the return, It was terrible.
