I love using Turbo Tax. However, when I checked out - my charge to file the IL Return was to be $20. But I was charged $25. Why?

Business Income and Expenses

Agent was able to address my questions and allowed me to complete my return.
The handling of the NEC and business expenses seemed to require reinput each time I reviewed this area. This was somewhat frustrating, but I finally completed the input for the Business Schedules.

2024 TurboTax Deluxe. Still has bugs and typos as of February 21, 2025. Has always had issues with proper description and handling of Virginia car property tax and registration fee in preparing Form 1040 Schedule A; lacks ability to transfer state tax info from one year to the next (for the same state!); inability to do this year/previous year state tax comparisons; and providing effective state tax rate like on the federal form; fails to list Virginia before Vermont in search lists even though there are likely 14x more users in Virginia. Also can't stand that Intuit 'nickel and dimes' on cost of e-filing state tax, just raise the software cost of TurboTax Deluxe and include one state for free, duh! It's just more time & work to pay (again) a silly $15 Intuit fee via credit card (Costco's gave $10 towards the $25 Intuit Cost to e-file the state).
