Have used TT for years. But have a problem this year. The program says I cannot file CA state return electronically because I have an unusual withholding [WH] in the return than cannot be supported. My WH is fed /state taxes on RMD from Vanguard. Doubt if that is unusual. Can this be corrected?

Turbo Tax consistently performs.

While the experience and outcome was similar to previous years - meaning good, there were some format changes that took some time to navigate. Additionally, some follow up questions were short of information making it difficult to insure our answers were correct.

You guys are so sneaky, you say the product supports state returns but in the end there's an extra $25 that I couldn't even find out how to back out of.

Super easy, been using it for years. Very confident of correct results. This year however, my firewall saw it trying to connect to social websites, news, everything in my browser favorites. Fortunately I could block this behavior. Better keep it behind good firewalls if you run the 2024 version. Just saying.
