TurboTax is mostly great but not perfect (yet).

I had two problems with TurboTax. First of all, I was annoyed when I wasn't asked until the very end about my refund routing numbers. I would much have preferred that I was asked at the very beginning of the process. My second problem was that I had two 1099-R forms for plans that were originally government deferred plans and not IRAs but were later changed to standard IRAs. Well, I took lifetime annuities which were NOT addressed in TurboTax and gave me headaches.

Turbo Tax is fantastic.

I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years, however the last three years I have been ill and I had outside company to do my taxes. This year I went back to doing my own taxes. I believe in an old proverb which I followed in my past career, "Don't fix it if ain't broke". Thank You

TurboTax give me piece of mind

I use the step by step process every year to make sure I do not miss anything even though my return does not change from year to year so I don't miss any IRS changes. I am therefore confident that my return is complete and accurate.

One Glitch this Year

After saving my return and re-opening it, I found that my refund had dropped considerably. I was able to find the problem: My RMD from my IRA was fully satisfied, but TurboTax was not recognizing it and was charging me a penalty. I was able to fix it by going through the 1099-R again and confirming that my RMD had been fully satisfied.

I did not like the new format it made it confusing on how to find interest accounts. Past formats were much easier to understand
