E-File Issues

I ran into two issues:
1. I e-filed my returns, but they were rejected because the ID generated was not sent to the IRS. I had to run through the Fix It procedure to re-file. I'm crossing my fingers that the problem has been fixed.

2. When I opened TurboTax, I was presented with a message that state e-filing fee had been reduced to $20. When I got to the section to actually do the e-file, the rate was still $25.00. I will call support to have this fixed.

Buying turbotax was not the same as in the past. There was no disc to install on my computer. There was a download process, which proved to be incomplete and extremely problematic. In fact it did not work. I could not close it down to take a break. It would not shut down I had to "force quit" the program. Later, it would not open again. Eventually my computer went to "Turbotax download" , where I completed my taxes, but did so, with the wrong name. (It selected the name of another family member whom I did taxes for last year.) Turbotax also made me pay again, to download my taxes. I have used Turbotax for more than twenty years, but I will think twice before I use it again. Between one problem and another, I must have spent more than twenty hours to do my taxes this year.

Had trouble downloading forms from financial services provider. Had to manually enter some data. First year this has happened. Program download time is slow but that could be my laptop.

Turbo Tax is Quick & Thorough

And again, Turbo Tax performs excellent! I have used Turbo Tax since its very early years (guessing - for the last 30+ years at least). Turbo Tax has always and continues this year (2024) to walk me through all of the complexities of getting my taxes calculated/paid and any refund into my account as quickly as possible! I will continue to use and recommend Turbo Tax to friends and family!!!!
