Support is too complicated.

Finding specific help is too challenging. Simple questions aren't answered by AI Bot and finding specific help on forum too complicated. For example: my self employment is done in my own name. The form says if you use your own name leave blank. Then every time you run error check the same error comes up. No simple way to find an answer to solving that problem.

Flaw in Handling Special 1099-R Situation

This program does not appear to accurately handle a special 1099-R situation. When I enter the information on my 1099-R, it locks up and will not allow me to proceed. A workaround (recommended by the online forum) was required to enable me to proceed, and that workaround is sketchy IMHO. It does not inspire confidence. I consider this a serious flaw in the program. Otherwise, the program is user-friendly and comprehensive.

Turbo Tax handles complex transactions with ease.

I had a more complex filing this year involving converting and recharacterizing IRA to ROTH IRA. Turbo Tax had all the steps AND with the 'learn more' I was able to do them. In addition, I had to file taxes for my parents, and Turbo Tax made it so easy to submit two sets with minimal costs. The 2024 format was excellent and very professional.
