No Instructions for State Filing by Mail

I file my state return on paper, but this was particularly difficult this year. The program assumed that I would file electronically and would not provide instructions for filing the state by mail.

I Still love the program but could not get my FREE STATE TAXS RETURN. cost me 15 bucks again and there is no way to dispute this charge.

I have used Turbotax for the better part of 20 years. This year the software is so buggy it is almost unusable! I will not be buying this product again. I should not have to find the form to put in a number. I should not have to adjust your calculation because you can't add $35 and $35 to equal 70, but your software somehow calculated $79! This is awful. TESTING SOFTWARE IS A BASIC

I really like Turbo Tax. I like being able to transfer past tax returns. I also like the fact I can save my information, and enter my information at my convenience.

Pennsylvania needs work

Overall, the Federal portion went smoother than last year. But the State portion was very uncooperative. It actually told me that the state treated something differently, and that I might need to make a change for the state. However, it gave no indication of how to do this. I eventually had to find it in the Forms, and OVERRIDE the transferred number in order to file a correct tax return for Pennsylvania. I owed more taxes than TurboTax was calculating due to this error. Penalty avoided only due to my persistence.
