Not as good as it used to be!!

Not as easy to use as it used to be!!! I have used Turbo tax since it first was called Turbo Tax.
First major problem, is Up-dates every time you re-open the program even if it's only a few minutes, or if you check last year's tax forms.
Second major problem, is Add supporting details doesn't carry forward from last year in Business expenses like it used to.
Third major problem, is the Step by Step is not as fast as it used to be Too many options that are not user friendly, or useful.
Fourth major problem, is no disk to save the program from year to year on newer computers.
Fifth major problem, Cost. keeps going up with no notable improvements
Overall not as good a program as it used to be I will be checking other programs to see if they are any better and less expensive

Turbo Tax is good but cumbersome.

Every year since 1960 I have completed the Federal and Maryland state taxes manually myself and mailed them. Because I moved to another state in 2024 I purchased Turbo Tax to make sure I would complete the two state tax forms correctly and then file electronically. I spent many hours entering the data from my 1099s into TurboTax. The two state taxes were very easy and TurboTax deserves credit for that. However, I had to pay $40 for the second state, then you wanted $50 more to file the state returns electronically. I printed out the completed forms myself and will mail all of the forms via USPS. I will probably not use Turbo Tax again because it took me manually about three days, but three times that for Turbo Tax.

MAKE SOME FIXES !

You need to:
1. STOP making me scroll down the page EACH time I go to a new income/deduction section! BREAK IT UP !
2. More precise insructions on all forms 2210.
3. No major benefits seen for the ongoing price increases these past years.
