Small Glitch, but overall good experience

Usually TurboTax is a great tool for tax prep. But this year it skipped a vital step in preparing my state return. It counted my pension income as actual income without requesting info about its type and tax status. This caused TurboTax to base its calculations on an incorrect income amount and conclude that we owed tax and a penalty. It started to calculate a penalty, as well as estimated 2026 payments, when I stopped to review the entire process. That is when I found the missing screen and corrected the entry. I think TurboTax should have discovered this missing information much sooner!

Take the time to check print out of return

While I was satisfied overall with my experience with Turbo Tax this year, in reviewing my .pdf file I found a duplicate entry of some dividend information. I was surprised that Turbo Tax didn't catch that.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax has long standing bug

I've been using Turbo Tax Deluxe edition for many years. There is still an outstanding problem when you install the software on an external drive as I do every year to keep my tax information separate. I alter the installation path name and install successfully. The import function then finds my info from last year's return and works great. When I go to save my new return thought the path hasn't changed to this year's installation loction on the drive. I always find out when I'm ready to file. Unacceptable by now!

Why did you delete the "It's Deductible" feature?

TurboTax should not have deleted the "It's Deductible" feature. I had to ceate an excel spreadsheet to determine our deductions!
