WE HAD A SIMPLE RETURN AND EVERYTHING WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD AND EASY TO USE.
HAVE USED TURBO TAXES FOR MORE YEARS THAN I CAN COUNT. DEPEND ON IT FOR A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE RETURN.

Turbo Tax Software can be fussy

In your 1099-R address field there are four lines
Line 1 Payee name
Line 4 City state zip
Line 2 and 3 address
Line 1 Payee name
Line 4 City state zip
Line 2 and 3 address
If you put , in the case, a PO Box number (exactly as on the 1099-R) on line 2 and nothing on line 3 the software will cycle and cycle and not allow taxes to be sent.
But if you skip line 2 and put it in line 3 the software is :) (as much as software can be) and accepts input
BUT THERE IS NO EXPLANATION OF THIS
your staff and I spent over 1/2 hour trying to fix problem until I just tried input into line 3 and it worked.
Fix or explain in software notes, frustrating

Prefer the CD Version over the Download version.

I have used the CD version of Turbo Tax since 1998. This year, there is no CD, just a download version. This version is extremely slow. I spent probably 1.5 hours just waiting for the intermittent freezing to stop so I could move on. Also, if you have multiple W-2G forms, it is very cumbersome to add those. Each time, you have to type the tax ID, name and address of the casino, along with other information. Once you enter an establishment, you should be able to select those elements from a drop down list.
