I prefer a disk and the ability to edit the forms.

TurboTax made me HATE Intuit 2 years in a row. I 100% WILL NOT use TurboTax or Intuit offerings next year. Last year (2023 tax return), I was misled on my Oregon return and had to amend it. This year (2024 tax return), I had nearly the same issue - I had to manually edit the state return form to register my mortgage interest to qualify for itemized. Also, the app was crazy slow, sometimes taking 10+ minutes to load on a 2-year-old HIGH PERFORMANCE GAMING COMPUTER. I'm done with ya'll.

Automatic downloads were bit confusing this year. we elected to just enter the data by hand.

Your "STEP BY STEP" did NOT include an automatic transfer of SOCIAL SECURITY data. I FINALLY read the "find print" that it is NOT automatically transfered. This however was AFTER several attempts and FRUSTRATIONS!!!!!
