Wouldn't Use Anything Else !

Been using Turbo Tax forever! So informative and so easy to use, especially with previous year's totals showing so you can compare and also make sure you're not missing a deduction.

Good program/Annoying Connection Request

I love using TurboTax, but prior versions let you select "don't ask again" on the electronic connection to financial accounts for info download. I don't want to connect to them, and had to say "no" each time, and then program sends you back a step. Very annoying!

Problematic with RMB

Kept getting wrong info for RMB i did not include pensions in RMB but system kept using grand ttal including pensions for RMB

It's been OK. But tax filing should be free. I will use another software next year. Also, the fees need to be disclosed up front - all the fees. Pay $25 to have my state return taken from my fed return? You gotta explain that - all it said was "Premium Service," and I didn't order any premium service.

Hard to Download and Install

Does taxes fine but it took a very very long time to download and install on my computer (Windows 10). After I finally got it installed I started it to make sure it was working - all seemed to work OK.
Then the next day when I started to work on my taxes it wouldn't start for me. After 5 or 6 tries it finally did start. I worked for an hour or so and shut down for the day. The next time I tried to start it it decided to do an update and the update would not complete. The result was that I could not start Turbo Tax. After about 6 or 8 tries over the next day or two I gave up and installed Turbo Tax on another computer (Windows 10 also). This install seemed to work OK and I was able to do my taxes on the second computer. Since I was able to complete my taxes using computer #2 I didn't bother to try deleting and reinstalling Turbo Tax on computer #1.

Turbo Tax walks me through each step of the Federal and North Carolina filing processes. I particularly like to option of bringing forward data from last year's return.

Turbo Tax is a solid tool for most DIY people

Turbo Tax went well this year; sometimes the questions and the path it takes you on is a little grey.
However I really like having the CD to load, instead of having the full software package uploaded. This is why I only gave your product "4" stars.
