Once again I was well pleased with my overall experience. The step by step procedures really help me to not miss anything. I've used Turbo Tax for about 15 years and will continue to use in the future. This year I had to declare some capital gains and was nervous, but the software walked me through, easy breezy! I did run into something I couldn't solve, so I opted for the tax expert advise and they helped me through in minutes.

issue with more than one state filing

The software works fine although every year there is something off; this year it was my needing 2 state returns, purchasing the software for one free state, and Turbo Tax electing for that state to be the one that has no state income tax. Consumers should have a choice, if 2 states, which is the free one.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

I've been using Turbotax for many years but had some issues this year with Deluxe addition:
1. When e-filing, there was no option to say "no issue date" under the drivers license info page. THere is a radio button for no expiration date but none for issue date. I could not move on until I faked a date.
2. Under save for your records, it says there will be an option to download a PDF but that wasn't there. The only option was printing.

turbo tax hurdles

After 7 years using Turbo Tax on the same Mac desktop, i had to buy a new Mac due to Monterrey no longer being supported . The fine print on the folder is a little tricky. had to make multiple calls for help throughout the process . Not quite as user friendly as in the past. all of the customer service people were very helpful when i needed help.
