E-filing Fee Not As Advertised

Preparing my taxes is quite simple and straightforward. However, at the end of the process, TurboTax stated my fee for e-filing my state return was at a discounted rate of $20. Instead I was charged $25 plus taxes for a total of $27.

Tried once Lost all Worked on second attempt

Completed all tax info and decided to use Audit Defense. The program said it would save. I received an error message. The solution button sent me to a page of community notes and none that helped with the error code. When clicked ok to remove the error message the program closed and I lost all info, Customer service persons tried to be helpful but ultimately it was determined I lost everything. I re-entered the info without using last year's return to prefill and I was successful

I like Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years; it is great. This year I had an odd software problem. We have two, old fashion, no frill pensions. Turbo Tax thought there were RMDs?!. I call the live Expert, she suggested deleting and reentering the 1099R info, I did so and the problem went away. Odd, a bit time consuming, but resolved with Turbo Tax backup capabilities.

Small glitch. Exit and restart the return.

Federal portion of the program froze on Social Security page (asking if Form SSA-1099). Part of middle screen hidden beneath text and 3 boxes misaligned. Tried to just move back, froze. Had to exit and restart the return.

Tubo Tax 2024 is a good product.
