Error Message Missing/ attention needed

I had initial difficulty getting TurboTax to install properly. It failed with a cryptic, not informative crash report pop-up, I removed the software, downloaded it again, repeated, still crashed. Only when I tried installing it on another computer did I get the requisite notification that I must have Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 installed. It never told me this on my main PC. I then downloaded C++ 2022, installed it, and what I had ran just fine.

Turbo Tax has a real issue!

The automation required me to buy another copy, because the phone number was a landline and there was no way to correct it. Very disappointing. So I had to buy anther copy and start from scratch.

Turbo Tax Deluxe Fed and State

As usual, it was easy to complete and covered all the bases. However, there was one issue. I owed money ($15) to turbo tax for filing with the state, and tried to pay it with my American Express. All went well until I had to list the expiration date of my card which was in 2025. The block for Turbo Tax which identifies the expiration year starts in 2026. No matter what I did, it would not recognize 2025 as a valid year with AMX. I had to use a different credit card that expired in a later year past 2025. Strange that 2025 was an issue with AMX.

TurboTax is a worth the money.

Product works great; only one criticism: Clicking "Continue" button on "Review Summary" to get to "File" tab was painfully slow (nearly a minute on my new laptop), so slow I thought the program had crashed. If delay can't be avoided, gray out the screen like TurboTax has done in the past to indicate something is going on.

Problem with new RMD and Roth Conversion

As in the past, it was all good, except when it came to inputting info about my RMD combined with a new Roth IRA conversion. That one held me up for a day or so, until I figured out how to put it in TTAX.

Program works fine. However, the cost of sending State returns is absolutely ridiculous. The cost of mailing the return is 2 postage stamps, but you charge $25 to e-file. I realize that I have a $10.00 credit for e-filing that gets waisted which reduces the cost to only $15.00, but the cost of 2 postage stamps is way less. Next year, I may do my taxes online at no cost and mail both returns instead and eliminate all costs except for the postage stamps!
