Online issues

Had issues with program not responding when trying to continue. 1099 info disappeared from income, and would not save work. Had to re-start program twice.

State filing forms non-electronically - confusing

Confusing State filing. Summary sheet says don't send anything in. But if you don't file electronically, you do have to send in forms. But it isn't telling me what. Didn't used to do that. Used to tell me what to file
Also, "Effective Tax Rate" is incorrect. No idea what that is supposed to be. I want to know the tax bracket I'm in. That is the only thing that is of use.

Turbotax makes filing taxes yourself pretty simple

Turbotax is especially easy if using the standard deduction. Like that it compares that with itemized deductions.

Turbo Tax much easier than complex spreadsheet!

I did my taxes using a fancy spreadsheet for years. I took a chance one year and purchased Turbo Tax. It was easy to use and I compared it to my fancy spreadsheet and found that I reduced my tax liability by a few hundred dollars using Turbo Tax. Win - Win! Have been using ever sense.
