Turbo-Tax Double the cost if you E-File.

Turbo Tax paid for. "Free" State return. Then why am I charged $25 to e-file? Why am I being charged an additional $45 ? So, $70 just for the privilege of clicking a button instead of printing & mailing? Not worth it.

CONFUSING, SEARCH HAD NO BOX TO TYPE IN QUESTION. LAST YEAR EASIER TO FLOW THROUGH. SOME QUESTIONS HAD NO EXPLAINATION OF WHAT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER. FIELDS NOT APPLICABLE BUT STILL FORCED TO REVIEW WITHOUT REASON.

Poor Guidance in Steps - Attempted Push to Assist?

Confusing flows, especially in the 1099-R sections. Same RMD questions asked for (periodic payment) pensions as for other (first-time, annual) RMD accounts with no guidance on how to answer one versus the other. The last two years, I've had to get as much of my guidance for TurboTax steps from general internet searches as from the application. If not for the convenience of pulling 2023 data into 2024, I may have been gone from TurboTax for 2024. We'll have to see about 2025. There's a breakeven point somewhere between carry-forward convenience and aggravation.

Great product-Turbo Tax

Easy to use and this year I paid the extra to get live help and everyone I talked to was great. They answered my questions, problems solved. They were patient with me and they were pleasant.

Filing instructions need to print with tax return.

The fling instructions didn't print out with the return I printed for mailing like the instructions said it would. Same thing happened last year. Very irritating.
