Functional. Sometimes a bit clunky. One specific that makes it feel a bit amateurish is that if you have a long bulleted list of items to click through near the bottom of the page, the GO BACK, or NEXT button returns you to the -top of the page-, rather than the space on the page where you had been working. Hence, amateurish. (3/5). I deducted 1 point because of the "Gotcha" for the unadvertised fee of $40 for handling money... Somebody somewhere somebank gets a sweetheart deal for doing little to no work.

Absurd Additional Fees!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. The software itself makes the process relatively straightforward. However, this year the additional fees for processing and e-filing were a surprise and a disappointment. I was left wondering what the original purchase fees (both federal and state) were for. I'll be exploring other options next year.

The program does not work well in regard to estimated taxes for next year. It DID produce vouchers, but they are described as not complete and marked DO NOT FILE, so not usable.
Every year the program asks for information about a business that I ended around ten years ago. I reported this fact in my return that year.

I have been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for years due to the easy step by step instructions. The ability to get better information/description is a quick click away, and this is VERY helpful. I have become very comfortable with employing Turbo Tax Deluxe year after year.

30 years of Turbo Tax

I began using Turbo Tax when my 43 year old son was 10 years old and convinced us to buy a computer. It is probably the only software product that I have continued to use for those 30 years.
