I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Its the easy, in inexpensive, very reliable, and never let me down! I Highly recommend using Turbo Tax to complete your taxes!

Flawed Software

I believe there is a glitch on the 1099-SSA entry page. My return forced me to choose one of 3 options regarding HSA/MSA none of which was a none option. As I do not have a HSA or MSA this created a form 8853 on my return that prohibited electronic filing. I spent at least one hour attempting to correct this issue so I could file electronically with no success. I asked my wife for assistance and after she touched the keyboard miraculously the problem disappeared. The HSA/MSA question was not on the 2023 return. You should have at least a bot for free advice. Retired customers should not be required to pat $60 to resolve a software glitch.

Almost there TurboTax

Everything was great until I needed to fill in my AGI. Even though I used TurboTax the previous years and located the accounts, I could not access my former returns. I spent 30 minutes going over the website and looking back in old emails. Only then did I find a copy from 2023. Customer info has to be accessible if you know that info is needed.

Good program - Don't like the Big type Senior form

Pretty good. But when I printed my forms this year I ended up with a 1040-SR and I hate it! Maybe you have to do that but I don't like the three-page document with the rows not where I expect them to be. If it's optional you should have an optional button.
One other thing. I've been using Deluxe and so far it meets my needs. But I have trouble understanding what types of transactions would push me into a different version. And I wouldn't want to have to pay twice.

Very difficult to resolve errors - especially dealing with Foreign Tax Credits Form 1116. Requires lot of manipulation and independent research, which defeats the purpose of using Turbo Tax
