No so good this year (2024)

Ok until I tried to print my returns. I wanted a printed copy for my own records. Could not print, hit print and...after a long time I hit save and it exited the print screen, then nothing, no printing. Tried several times. Then I figured how to save them as a PDF. The main state form (CO form 104) did NOT save. I had to do this manually and could not get a clear print from "Forms" section of Intuit Turbotax. Trying to print is just awful.
When asked if I wanted the state filing fee deducted from my Fed return, I clicked yes. Turbotax does not tell you there is s $40 fee to do this until you get ready to file!!! Very deceptive.

TurboTax not quite on top of errors.

I've been using TurboTax for decades. This year (for 2024) was the worst experience. This happened to be the first year I needed to file having paid RMD on my qualified retirement accounts. I got mysterious (not fully explained) errors, which I worked around by loading the Form (a 1099-R Summary form) that also didn't explain what the RMD related fields meant, and checking/unchecking boxes until TurboTax removed the red exclamation point. Finally some update fixed this.
Further, TurboTax (on a MAC) won't print. I get a spinning color wheel, an error noise (boop!) and nothing. No fix yet - many users have complained.

Turbo Tax is user friendly

I've been using Turbo Tax for 20 plus years without any problems but this year I had a problem with downloading my state return. After talking to Turbo Tax Tech support and HP Tech support for several days it was suggested to uninstall and re install my Turbo Tax. I was finally able to download my State return
