Turbo Tax failed me!

I just finished getting my bank information sent to the IRS. This was necessary because turbo tax gave me the option of getting a check instead of direct deposit. This was very tiring and frustrating, two hours of trying to do what they wanted me to do. This was the first time turbo tax has let me down. It will be hard in the future to recommend it to my friends.

The federal tax process is great. I wish it would pull information from previous year's state tax though. I have to look up the capitol gains loss being carried over for example.

Normally great, activations experience bad in 2025

I've been using TurboTax for more than 20 years. Normally it is a pretty seamless process, other than not handling stock option sales correctly without manual intervention despite having the transaction records being downloaded directly. This year, TurboTax started using up license activations every time I opened it. That forced me to complete my tax filing before the 5 activations were used up. That was quite annoying.

I have used Turbo tax since they came out, I'm a subscription member. I love the software, it works every time. Thank you all for all the hard work trying to keep up with ever changing tax laws.

Could Be Better.

Doesn't seem as easy to use as in previous years or maybe I'm just getting older and less tolerant of this crap. I've been using this software for over 5 years so when it asked me to calculate last year's taxable SS benefits for some idiotic calculation, you would think the software could have done that for me. I mean the records are on the same computer. Less helpful and more work!

There were several bugs in the software where Googling the issue had a work-around.
Also, need better explanations when things like Education did not quality and does not tell you why.
I would like a little more feedback during entries to explain how values are calculated and determined.

please bring back It's Deductible
also, do not really like the interface to enter and review 1099-Div and 1099-Int I like the old interface better, where you can see in a list a summary of the 1099s
