Turbo Tax is easy

Turbo Tax short coming

I have a court ordered apportionment that I labored over for hours before I finally figured out how to deduct it from my taxable income. iT is in no way intuitive to go to "Other Income" to put in a negative number. Turbo Tax need to put an additional question somewhere DO YOU HAVE AN APPORTIONMENT TO YOUR INCOME.

Good, but caution on the payment dialog

I've used Turbo Tax for over 8 years and it generally works well.
I had a problem with the two dialog screens which handled payment for e-filing - asking for confirmation of the credit card info and the following screen which returns the dialog to the main tax prep procedure. The problem was that the "continue" button was off the bottom of the screen and the dialog lacked controls to scroll the screen so one could click the button. I tried shrinking the window so it would fit, and it minimized, but would not follow standard Windows conventions to restore the window. I finally got the window back with a Windows Ctrl-space M (Move) command and was able to click on a tiny sliver of the "continue" button. This experience was on a Dell 14" laptop display which may be smaller than most monitors.

TurboTax this year was very confusing regarding RMD and how to enter multiple 1099Rs for me and I have always used Turbo Tax. Not as easy to get free assistance now
