Turbo Tax - First time user

This was our first year doing our taxes and Turbo Tax was so easy to use. You can choose whether you want to be walked through or just explore on your own. I chose to be walked through the steps since this was my first time doing my own taxes. Anything you could want to know is included in the "Learn More" links that you can click on when you have a question. I wasn't sure how to use the chat assistant but I found everything I needed through "Learn More." I was spending $400.00 per year on my tax preparation which was going up each year. This is so much more economical and the program is exceptional. Everything works as promised.

Used TurboTax Deluxe for 27 consecutive years. The ONLY gripe is I am unable to use 1099-R substitute form for foreign pension because foreign countries do not use EIN that fit format of form. Yes I can type 999999999 but the review catches this and prevents submission.

Need to improve Georgia Non-Resident Tax Calcs

It would have been five stars but the examples related to non-resident Georgia State tax is weak. The adjustment on Schedule 3 examples are not clear, and did not pertain to my situation - a non resident filing jointly with spouse having no income in Georgia, as my income is attributed to Georgia. Despite the forms having me attribute the income from Pension and Social Security no attributed to Georgia, it still forced me to make a manual adjustment. Wouldn't it know that federal income (Soc. Security) would be attributed to my home state as earnings, and parse it out? I shouldn't have had to go to the form to make the manual adjustment, especially after it asked me previously if the income was derived to Georgia or not. Weak.
