Each Years Gets More Cumbersome

Turbo Tax is WAAAAY TOO dependent on the "man" of the joint filing. The 1st time I used Turbo Tax many yrs ago, it was super easy. It's gotten more difficult and cumbersome over time. More technical jargon. Links provided for return being rejected are not correct and need to be updated/revise. Keep in mind the following..."Explain it so a 6th grader can understand it."

Another rejected return

The software never prompted me to input my IP PIN number for filing Federal return, now my return will be rejected because it did not contain the IP PIN. I had to do a google search to find out where to input it. The software should have prompted me or asked if I had an IP PIN before transmitting my return.
No prompt to save my return. I went back into Turbo tax and could not find my return.

Long Time Turbotax User

I have used Turbotax for many years. It is generally very user friendly and always accurate. This year, however, it seemed to take longer, even though our return was simpler. I kept having to go to irs.gov to find where to enter things. I also did not appreciate the frequent ads to update or hire expert advice.
