Too many Online messages in Turbo Tax Desktop

I bought Turbo Tax Desktop because I did not want to use Turbo Tax Online. I don't need multiple reminders that Turbo Tax Online is available, I chose my product thank you very much.
I live in Texas, a no income tax state. When I file and choose Federal and State, it is smart enough to tell me I don't have to file a state retrun, why not just position to Federal only?

TurboTax is not helpful for NYC residents

For a newbie this product is not very helpful. TurboTax did not explain that New York City residents have to pay city taxes separately from state taxes if their non-NY based employer does not withhold them from the paycheck.
