Final Federal and State summary very confusing

I owe Federal $829, but getting back $1056 from the state. In the summary TurboTax said that I was getting back $227. This confused me, because I thought state was going to pay the federal with the money I was getting back and then get me the remaining balance. But it doesn't look that's the case. This is very confusing. Please fix

Everything went well until payment to Intuit from the personal info page. All pages were a good size to work with, however the "continue bar" to pay could not be done because the page was too long. Having to use a Windows 11 laptop for Turbotax this year, I finally figured out how to remove the Task Bar to access the almost bottom of the page.
There was a bug in the state payment software last year and the lady on the phone was most helpful correcting the problem; only it was too late to send in a five-star compliment.

There appears to be a software problem with Turbotax 2025. While trying to file my energy credit Turbotax wouldn't allow me to put in my street, city, state or zip code. I also tried inputing this into the form. Still Turbotax would not let me do it . Then, when checking for errors Turbotax identified that the address was missing and would not allow me to e-file my taxes.
