Taxed more than once?

I imported Charles Schwab and Morgan Stanley information, and my Federal owed skyrocketed. Then later, it asked me to fill that information in manually. Then what I owed increased again! Did this income penalize me twice? How do I know that?
Next year I will pay someone. I'm retired now, and this 14k tax owed is the largest of my life.

Turbo Tax made filing a LOT more difficult DUE TO CLOSING “IT’S DEDUCTIBLE”.
