Mostly great, but ...

Generally very good to excellent. It asks all the right questions and makes it easy for me to transfer input from forms received into the software. I've been using it forever and it's mostly hassle-free.
Got a bit of a scare this year, as the review said I was all set and that there were no errors. I literally hit the Transmit button when it told me I needed to go back and check a few inputs. Turns out that state withholding exceeded state income on some retirement income inputs. In two cases, the 1099-R did not show a state income; in one case, I forgot to input it. But shouldn't this check have come sooner in the process?

Turbo Tax - Not Quite Perfect

Generally, very favorable as far as the operational and functionality side of the process. However, the execution side infilling I ran into an issue. In trying to use a credit card to pay for a state filling, $20 I had to update the expiration date, the month drop down menu would not allow the selection of month 9 to 12. No matter how many times I tried and went into my Intuit sign on master it would not allow this functionality. The feal discouraging issue was the wait time to secure HELP. I waited almost 30 minutes to find out support did not have a clue as to why it would not work. It was not the VISA credit card it obviously was a software glitch. I tried it with support, nothing, so I just went to an alternative credit card with a February expiration date, no problem. My expectation is that this should have never occurred. Obvious not the support techs error as he is just to lend support. He was apologetic and stayed on the line to ensure the alternate card was successful.

Different from last year

It was different than last year. I liked that last year I was able to use the intuit cost for donations, but was not able to download banking information. This year, I was able to download some banking, but they didn't have the intuit cost for donations. I do not like that you have pay to upload/submit your state returns. If you pay that much for the software all submissions should be free. Also, when you had the disk, you were allowed to put it on 5 machines. With the download, you can't.

Disappointing

I have always loved and used turbo tax. Today I was instructed to download the 2022 software in order to do so. When I completed all steps to file these taxes, I was informed they have to be printed and mailed and I was unable to use the software to do so. I am very disappointed that I spent $80.00 to have to mail my return in. This seems very redundant and a waste of money.
