Incessant requests for more money. Very annoying.

The incessant requests for upcharges, extra cost features, state e-filing fees, etc. etc. is excruciating. And now Intuit will force yet another charge to Premium if I want to download 1099 forms from financial firms. I will be looking at other software next year.

It's getting worse instead of better

The imports from financial institutions all failed. Received "Success" message but no data downloaded. Tried to enter the data manually, but no instructions could be found on how to do it. After I learned how to do it by searching the TurboTax user community, I found it very clumsy - too many steps for each entry.
I have used Turbo Tax for many years, this year's (2025) version is very disappointing.

From complex to simple

I have used TT for decades. TT has walked me through some pretty complex filings and thankfully is still here to hold my hand while I prepared the least complicated return yet. Thank you, TT

Used to be great, 2025 is clunky

Normally a great program this years version is clunky, it ask if you have a 1099G but doesn't give you a way to enter the dollar amount, the button isn't there just the line telling you what the button would do should it exist. It felt like AI was used, some of the wording was confusing (I'm have a English degree).
