Turbo Tax Deluxe is just good

Turbo Tax needs better quality control. There were a couple of sections where updates were not generated by the Turbo Tax App.

Turbo Tax is not what it used to be.

Product has "strangeness" and inconsistencies in the sequence of things. No apparent access to 1099 form edits - hidden/obscured Edit and Delete icons; 1099-SA contributions belong in Deductions section (not Income section) and 1099-SA distributions belong in the Income section (which comes first), so put the form edit here . Presentation of different types of 1099 forms is different between form types (1099-R v 1099-INT and DIV). 1099-INT and -DIV should be separate groups with summary pages (like 1099-R) for quick review/access. Importing data should be the option, not the default. Perspective: I have 16 1099-R, -INT, and -DIV forms.
It took a full 4 months to get a stable reasonably up-to-date version, yet updates keep coming with no explanation of what has changed. All this confusion brings into question the accuracy of the outcome.

Not the best software experience for second year

Unreasonably difficult to get software download for second year this year. Considering looking into other tax software options for preparing my return going forward. Not the turbotax product from historical past just average or below average - my expectations have had to adjust to poorer overall experience.

Better than a poke in the eye

Tax filing is a pain, but turbotax makes it less painful. I used to pay someone to do my taxes. I would gather all my paperwork (which could take hours or days) and then watch him input it into a computer program in just a few minutes. I realized that the hardest part was gathering all the paperwork. So I decided to try turbotax. I have been using it for the last 18 years. My only concern this year is that I heard that ssa recipients would get a $6000 deduction. Turbotax may have given us that deduction but I never saw mention of it. You could have explained a little better how Trump's "No tax on SS" is handled in your program. And if it wasn't handled, you owe me and the wife 6K each.
